Outline of the department
Based on the concept of the student as a ploblem solver, not merely a receptacle of knowledge, the mission of the teaching stuff of the departement is to serve a basic science and fundamental mechanism of life to understand the human being from the nursing viewpoint. Also, to achive the union of scientific knowledge and bed-side practice, physical assessments and the introductory course of clinical practice are given.

Research activities of the staff members:
Y. Saeki: Mechanical stress(including pressure) induced gene expression. Disclose the signal transduction pathway and cellular functionin in periodontal ligament and chondrocytic cells. Recently, to find the primary cause for the formation of bed sore is also interested in.

K. Imamoto: GABA neuron. Bone mineral density and aging.


M. SakaguchiFResearch on career development of a nurse, research on nursing offer system in the first medical examination of emergency. And research on the methodology of technical education in base nursing education.

K. Imura: Research on the perception of the nurse in interaction of a nurse, the search for factors influencing the perception of a nurse.

N. Takada: Research on outbreak and prevention of pressure ulcer.

R. Arai: Research on nursing ethics.
