Outline of the department

Research in this department deals with histochemical and functional anatomy of the nervous system. The main projects center on the functional anatomy of catecholaminergic systems in the central and peripheral nervous system at light and electron microscopic levels. We currently focus on monoamine oxidase type A and B in both monoaminergic and non-monoaminergic neurons.
