Outline of the department

Research activities are mainly concerned with the structural, spectral and optical property 
(included in ultrafast phenomena) of nano/bio-materials based on probe microscopy, electron microscopy, and spectroscopy.

The current research projects include :
1) Atomic-scale structures and optical properties of nano/bio-materials.
2) Ultrafast carrier dynamics in nano materials.
3) Magnetic properties of thin iron layers and corrosion.
4) Development of medical instruments.
