Outline of the department
The hemodialysis unit is mainly concerned with the management of acute and
chronic renal failure patients. In addition to hemodialysis, other blood
purification treatments, including hemofiltration, hemoperfusion, and plasma
exchange, are being carried out.
Research is concerned with studies of the pharmacokinetics of drugs in
patients undergoing hemodialysis and evaluation of the efficacy of new
hemodialysis membranes.
