Austin 7 is a prewar minimum car made by Austin. The name appeared again at the introduction of Mini in Austin. The original 7 had several variations of body. The picture below is a sports model of Austin 7.

- A30/A35
A most popular basic postwar car of Austin. While A30 (1952-56) had BMC A-type 803cc engine and A35 (1957-59) 948 cc one. Austin-Healey Sprite Mk1 was based on this car later.


- A40 Somerset
Because Nissan (Datsun) made it under licence of Austin in late 50's, it was often seen in Japan and was familiar as Nissan-Austin. The engine is 1200 cc in-line four OHV.
