SUMS International Speech Contest in Japanese

The 1st SUMS International Speech Contest in Japanese was held on March 5, 2021. The aim of this contest is to encourage international students to learn Japanese and promote multiculturalism. 12 students, including 2 students from our program, presented their original speeches in Japanese.
In the beginner class presentation, Nazar, from Malaysia, spoke about his dream of traveling around Japan on his favorite large motorcycle. Amka, from Mongolia, shared some stories from her daily life living in Japan with her family. Her topic was "What opens the door to global society".
It was a great opportunity for all contestants to express their ideas, thoughts, their personal stories and their dreams in Japanese. The contest was a huge success.

Nazar won the award in the compositional skills category.
Congratulations!

Amka won the first prize in the intermediate class. Congratulations!
