Beginning in August 2017, all students, faculty and staff with a University account (email address) are required to take an e-Learning course on "Information Ethics and Security".
Failure to complete the course within the course period result in a penalty.
Implementation guidelines
The guidelines for 2023 are as follows.
Eligibility:
Students, graduate students, faculty and staff (including temporary and employees receiving commission/honorarium payments) who have an account (e-mail address) with the university as of October 2, 2023.
(Note: Those on leave, those on leave of absence, emeritus professors,
part-time faculty members, etc. are also eligible.
Those who have extended the use of their email accounts after graduation,retirement or resignation are also eligible.)

Course deadline:
October 18, 2023 (Wednesday) -November 30, 2023 (Thursday)
Please repeat the test until you get a perfect score, referring to the
explanation displayed after each question and the handbook.
Refer to the explanations of comprehension test questions.
Answer the self-assessment questionnaire.
Penalty: If you do not complete the course by November 30, 2023, we will suspend your access to certain services offered by MMC.
(e.g., wireless LAN connection, VPN service, etc. will not be available)
Those who acquired their email address on or after October 3, 2023.
Additional courses will be added upon request.
Penalty: None
*Penalty will be applied for the following year and thereafter.
