基礎医学の研究医を育てる「研究医養成コース」
Physician Scientists Training Program
医学科では、幅広い教養と医学に関する専門的な知識・技能
を備え、医の倫理に徹し、かつ旺盛な探究心をもった医師及び医
学研究者を養成することを目的としています。
基礎学（一般教養）課程では、広く教養を身につけ豊かな人格
形成を目指すとともに、医学の基礎を学びます。専門課程では、
人体の構造・機能・病態や社会医学等の基礎医学を学んだ上で
臨床医学を学び、臨床実習へと進みます。
また、研究医養成のため、特に医学研究者への強い意識を持つ
者を対象にした基礎医学の「研究医養成コース」を設けています。
「一般市民参加型全人的医療教育プログラム」は、平成17年度文
部科学省事業「地域医療等社会的ニーズに対応した医療人教育支
援プログラム」に採択されました。このプログラムは、県内の診療所
から紹介された患者さん宅を訪問し、患者さんの疾病の背景や社
会的環境についてインタビューを行うユニークな取り組みです。そ
の後、大学独自のプログラムで「全人的医療体験学習」という科目
名で、選択科目の一つとして組み込みました。新入生の時期から患
者さんの目線に立った医療について考える機会になっています。
“The Civic Participation Education Program of Holistic Medicine” was
adopted by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and
Technology (MEXT) for “the Support Program for Educating Medical
Staff in Response to the Social Needs including Regional Medicine”
in 2005.
The students visit the patients’ houses and interview them
to deepen the understanding of their background and social
environment related to their illness. This program continues to carry
on as part of regular curriculum after the expiry of MEXT subsidy.
The School of Medicine trains students to be well-
educated physicians and physician scientists with a
broad education, expert knowledge and professional
skills, a faithful sense of ethics and the spirit of
scientific inquiry.
A Liberal arts education invites students to develop
a broad education with a fine personality and to be
introduced to the fundamentals of medical science.
The Physician Scientists Training Program is offered
in basic medicine for the students who want to be
physician scientists.
