Md Rasel Molla awarded the Top Prize of Young Investigator’s Award (YIA)

Graduate student Md Rasel Molla received the grand prize of Young Investigator’s Award (YIA) at the 86th Annual Scientific Meeting of the Japanese Circulation Society.

This award is given to young international researchers in Japan who are studying in the field of cardiology and who have shown outstanding achievements in basic or clinical research related to cardiovascular diseases.

He was praised for his original idea and experimental approach that clearly demonstrated the low molecular weight G protein PhoA appearing in vascular smooth muscle suppresses aortic aneurysm formation, one of the most serious vascular diseases.

He gave a lecture at the Meeting held on the web on March 12, and received the award certificate and a supplementary prize by mail on May 2.
